As an important traffic artery of Shenzhen's "East strategy", the second phase of Line 8 is connected to the existing Line 2 and 8 Yantian Road station, and the new Hong Anwei Station, Yantian Xu Station, Dameisha Station and Xiameisha Station, with a total length of 8.01 km and a design speed of 80 km per hour. The cultural tourism resources along the second phase of Line 8 are rich, passing by the Yantian seaside plank Road, Meishawan Park, Dameisha, Xiaomeisha and other coastal tourist attractions. The station design adopts "one station and one scene" to reflect the characteristics of Yantian mountains and sea. After the opening of the line, the operation of Line 2 will shorten the travel time between Meisha area and Luohu, Futian, Nanshan and other central urban areas, further activate the new vitality of cultural tourism economic development in Yantian District, enhance the level of regional development, and accelerate the coordinated and balanced integrated development of the whole city.

With the opening of the second phase of Line 8, the operating mileage of Shenzhen urban rail transit has reached 567.1 kilometers, and the radiation capacity, accessibility and convenience of rail transit have been further enhanced. Next, Shenzhen will focus on improving the level of urban rail transit planning, construction and governance, fully promote the construction of the fifth phase of rail transit project, accelerate the construction of people's satisfaction with transportation, and provide a better travel experience.
